Live closer to the CBD — consider a knock down rebuild in Sydney
Finding a vacant block of land in Sydney can be a real challenge. The good news is that if you want (or need) to live closer to the city, there’s an affordable solution here at Montgomery Homes: a knock down rebuild project.
Rather than moving away from the city, you can simply knock down your existing house and rebuild a place to call home. Once your existing home has been demolished, our knock down rebuild specialists will prepare the block for the project and build your dream home a stone’s throw away from work, school and all the exciting opportunities Sydney offers.
We have completed hundreds of successful knock down rebuilds in Sydney, transforming outdated houses into contemporary architectural homes. We can do the same for you — contact us for more information about a knock down rebuild in Sydney.
It all starts with a free site inspection
A knock down rebuild in Sydney doesn’t have to be stressful or challenging. At Montgomery Homes, we’re committed to making the building process simple and convenient so you can focus on more important things… like moving into your new home!
The building process starts with a free design consultation and site inspection at your current location. Our team will complete an in-depth assessment of your site to determine the following:
- The most suitable designs for the block
- The fall across your block
- The location of trees
- Neighbouring properties
- Site accessibility
- Any additional site preparation that may be required.
Afterwards, we will provide a detailed tender covering all the potential costs required for a Sydney knock down rebuild.

Knock down rebuild costs in Sydney
Knock down rebuild costs in Sydney are a common cause for concern. Our clients often weigh up the pros and cons of renovating vs knocking down their house and rebuilding — the truth is, renovations often cost twice as much as what was first anticipated because problems tend to arise as the project goes on.
When you choose to knock down and rebuild with Montgomery Homes, on the other hand, you will have a clear cost from day one. We will complete an extensive site analysis before you place any down payments, so you will know exactly how much the knock down rebuild could cost.
For some perspective, a knock down rebuild costs two to three times less than a major renovation on average!
