Take a tour of your new home in virtual reality!

Here at Montgomery Homes, we have 250+ home designs to choose from… but only 28 of these designs are on display. We know it’s hard to visualise your new home without walking through the display yourself, so we’ve introduced an innovative new way for you to take a tour of one of our stunning architectural home designs — even before it’s been built.

Say hello to our brand new virtual reality display home tours!

We’ve partnered with EnvisionVR (the world’s leading virtual reality platform for showcasing unbuilt properties) so that you can be transported from a 2D floor plan to a 3D display home in an instant. You can explore the living room, the kitchen and the master bedroom of your dream home without ever leaving our showroom — an exclusive, one-of-a-kind tour of an unbuilt home design.

About the technology

Wondering how our display home virtual tours actually work?

Using EnvisionVR’s impressive, state-of-the-art virtual reality technology, you will instantly be immersed in one of our virtual home designs. Wearing a virtual reality headset, you can walk from room to room on a 1:1 scale using hand sensors.

Our virtual tours are incredibly realistic, so you’ll feel like you’re really walking through one of our display homes! While most virtual reality experiences require you to stay stationary, EnvisionVR technology allows you to move through the virtual world by walking around an unobstructed space in the real world.

If you’re uncomfortable with the headset, you can also explore the virtual world via our tablet/mobile app.

The virtual floor plan flows with furniture included. Plus, you can see different inclusions and finishes from tapware to colour schemes and architectural elements like square-set ceilings and bulkheads.

The benefits of taking a virtual reality tour

We enlisted the help of EnvisionVR because we get a lot of requests from clients to visit floor plans that aren’t on display. We can see how this would hinder the planning process for our clients — it’s much easier to choose a new home design when you can see all the finer details up close and personal.

The reaction from focus group trials was impressive, to say the least. Our testers were amazed by the realism of the virtual environment — and we’re confident you’re going to love it, too! Below, we’ve shared a few of the benefits you can expect from a display home virtual tour with Montgomery Homes.

#1. See finished floor plans first-hand

Virtual-Reality-kitchen

There are hundreds of options to choose from when it comes to floor plans. Most home building clients have to choose between different layouts from a 2D floor plan or diagram — now, our clients can see the dimensions of their new home in person and explore the design personally from room to room.

#2. Save time travelling between display homes

Our display homes are scattered across Sydney, Newcastle, the Central Coast and the Hunter Valley — if you’re planning to visit multiple display homes, the hours and fuel from travelling start to add up. Virtual reality cuts through all of these inconveniences.

#3. Take a 100% private tour

When visiting a display home, you’ll often be sharing the experience with other people.

We know this can be distracting, so if you would like a 100% private tour of your new home, all you need to do is book a virtual viewing appointment for an exclusive tour of one of our select home designs. With a range of 3D display homes to explore, you can take your time to understand the floor plan and envision how life would look in each design — from furniture placement and decor to different colour schemes.

#4. Get a feel for the finer details

Seeing the finer details of a home design first-hand is incredibly important. There are a huge amount of decisions to make — wall colours, tiling patterns, benchtop materials, floor coverings, shower taps and styles, and so much more. The little things are important and our virtual tours allow you to see them in real-time.

Plus, you can explore the Relaxed Bohemian interior design theme from Australia’s interior design expert, Shaynna Blaze! You can see how her exclusive, luxurious interior designs fit into the space.
