Finding beauty in the smaller, finer details

floor to ceiling panelling

Shaynna has a talent for creating beautiful spaces with smaller, finer details. For example, one of our favourite elements in the Cayman 287 is the floor to ceiling VJ panels leading from the first floor to the second — the long lines maximise the space and create a sense of grandeur, really highlighting the spaciousness of the staircase.

You’ll find these sophisticated panels throughout the Cayman 287 including the dual study.

In Shaynna’s tour of the Cayman 287, she also highlights the 90mm skirting boards that complement the clean, white walls. The skirting boards lead you into the home towards the combined kitchen, dining and living areas at the end of the hall.

Spacious kitchen, dining and living area for the ultimate entertainment zone

open plan living area

The combined kitchen and living area is the ultimate entertaining zone. The kitchen links seamlessly into the dining room, living room and right out to the alfresco area — the perfect space for summer BBQs and special occasions. Plus, the large windows allow sunshine to spill through in the morning, making breakfast a warm, welcoming experience.

The kitchen features an elegant angled stone bench feature, adding to the modern geometry of the space. Alongside moody timber battens and floating shelves, the kitchen is a luxurious space for cooking, entertaining and gathering for meals.

Bedrooms that feel like home

master bedroom

The master bedroom is a private oasis anyone would love to escape to — featuring floor to ceiling windows for natural light, a gorgeous highlight window above the bedhead and tan rattan pendant lighting that reveal patterns on the walls, you’ll want to spend every waking moment lazing around in the bedroom.

This room also has a spacious ensuite with a double-basin vanity — a dedicated space for each person to brush their teeth and prepare for the day. How luxe!

The remaining three bedrooms are much simpler but certainly don’t compromise on space. Each bedroom has a spacious walk-in wardrobe for storing clothes, shoes and accessories — plus, if you choose the Cayman 287, you have your choice of wallpaper to add personality and warmth to the room.

The spare bedrooms certainly say “home” with smaller details, storage space and inviting colours. Just add piles of pillows and thick, warm blankets for extra comfort.

Luxury bathroom for a busy family

luxury bathroom

The family bathroom exudes elegance and class — without skipping out on storage space. Above the stone-top basin, we installed a mirror with hidden shelves, an additional shelf for soap and hand towels, and the basin itself features an extra-wide drawer for accessories and appliances like hair straighteners, hairdryers, shavers and more.

freestanding bath

As well as the dark, dreamy grey tile walls, we installed a statement freestanding bath that makes the bathroom feel like a luxury spa! We even added a recessed shelf into the wall where you can keep soap, shampoo and conditioner — or even a lovely glass of champagne.

Skylights and modern architectural themes on the second floor

Finally, the tour de force of the Cayman 287: the modern architectural vibes on the second floor. The Manhattan facade has a stunning raked ceiling, highlighting the spaciousness of the room — not to mention the gorgeous rumpus room at the top of the staircase featuring multiple large windows and skylights. This room will always be full of natural light while feeling warm and inviting for entertaining or simply relaxing at home on the weekend.

Plus, it’s the perfect space for the kids to have some alone time, watch their own shows and movies, or even spend a few hours gaming with friends. Removed from the entertaining areas on the bottom floor, everyone will have their own space when it's needed.
